Why to visit Sweet Falls
It is widely referred to as the most beautiful yet hazardous waterfall in the world, with a height of 96 metres. The path to the waterfall is not well-maintained and may be extremely dangerous, since it is surrounded by slick stones, which has resulted in a number of terrible tragedies. The Sweet Falls, unlike Meghalaya's tiered waterfalls, have a heavy flow of water cascading from a considerable height, making it hard to stand below or bathe in the falls. Shillong's Sweet Falls is a famous picnic area surrounded by greenery and filled with the sounds of singing birds. Near the waterfalls, there is also a butterfly exhibit and a tiny zoo. At the base of the waterfall, there is a guardrail, but it is too shaky to rely on. The local government has designated the Sweet Falls as a danger zone because it has been the location of several sad fatalities and suicides in the past. Because of these terrible and haunted stories, there is less visitor traffic at Sweet Falls, which some may consider a blessing.
