Why to visit Shillong Peak

Shillong's highest peak is Shillong Peak. It provides a stunning panoramic view of the entire city, as well as the Himalayas, their waterfalls, and the Bangladesh lowlands. Tourists can use a telescope to gain a bird's eye view. Trekking up to this semi-circular Shillong Peak for the greatest views is highly recommended, but it is frequently limited by dense fog. Shillong is claimed to have gotten its name from the Shillong Peak. According to legend, the patron deity 'Leishyllong' resides in the hills and guards the city against all evils. The sacred U Shulong site at the summit of the peak is where a spring ceremony is held. At an air force installation, the Shillong Peak may be found.

Special Tip

carry an I'd proof for checking in the gate.... try getting a glimpse of the sunset as it is very glorious
