Why to visit David Scott trail

It's a 16-kilometer hike that connects Mawphlang and Lad Mawphlang, two communities famed for their history, culture, and mythology. Mawphlang, a hub of Khasi culture, is one of the Khasi hills' villages named after monoliths and with holy trees. The journey may be done from either side, although it is more often done from the Mawphlang side since it is a less difficult ascent. Because the trail is not well signposted, locals can assist with instructions. The journey has it all: rivers, woodlands, enormous rock formations, flowing waterfalls, mountain streams, wide meadows, forest groves, and bridges linking settlements.

Special Tip

Carry enough water with you as the first point to refill comes after 1.5 hrs from the starting point.
