Why to visit Diengiei Peak
Diengiei Summit is a high peak in Shillong, Meghalaya, located 22 kilometres from Umiam Lake and 40 kilometres from Shillong. It is one of Meghalaya's tallest peaks, located west of the Shillong plateau. The summit, which is known for its scenic splendour, provides a spectacular view of the green hills, Umiam Lake, and the East Khasi Hills' highlands. Several small settlements may also be seen in the distance as tiny dots. The other adventurous sports like rock climbing and rappelling can be done here.
Special Tip
Do carry your own snacks and enough water during the visit. There is not much good food stall out there
