Why to visit Kune Falls

Kune Falls is a magnificent waterfall located in Kune hamlet in Maharashtra's Pune district. It is one of Maharashtra's most famous waterfalls, as well as one of the top locations to visit in Lonavala.

It s nestled against the gorgeous background of the famed Sahyadri Mountains at a height of 622 metres.The waterfall is broken into two portions, with the largest drop of roughly 100 metres at this three-tier cascade. The setting is completely encircled by lush greenery, creating a stunning visual experience.

During the rainy season, when the waterfall is at its most spectacular and flows down with a massive gush, the falls draw a great number of tourists. In the waterfalls, bathing and swimming are popular sports. Even after the monsoon season has ended, the water that flows down the valley continues to flow for many days.

The Kune Church is within walking distance of the Kune Waterfalls and serves as a beacon for visitors. Kune Falls is within a short distance from the chapel.

At a distance of 2 km from Khandala Railway Station 3.5 km from Lonavala Railway Station one can have a cab to get to the place.

What things can we do on the waterfall??

We can do waterfall rappelling which is very adventurous and requires a good experience at climbing.

Special Tip

The best time to visit the falls is during the month of September October just after the monsoon season as the rain beautifies the place at its peak.
