Why to visit Shree Chitra Art Gallery

A ideal place for art lovers, Sri Chitra Art Gallery houses some of the well-known work of Raja Ravi Verma. His western shape and fashion of artwork depicting Indian lives are an enchantment here. Other artwork objects belonging to the Mughals, Rajputs and Tanjore art schools can additionally be seen. Raja Ravi Verma's pencil sketches which are rare to be seen are also preserved here.

The art work of Ravi Verma which have been in the past saved at Chithralaya in Kilimanoor have been given to the artwork gallery through the Kilimanoor Palace as a permanent loan in 1941 

The artwork gallery has on show works from the Mughal, Rajput, Bengal, Rajastani, and Tanjore colleges of art. It also has an oriental series of Chinese, Japanese, and Balinese paintings, Tibetan Thangka, and special collections of Indian mural art work from pre-historic times. Other gadgets of activity encompass miniatures from one of a kind parts of the world, reproductions of murals of Ajanta, Bagh, Sigiriya, and Sittannavasal, and manuscripts of archival importance Ravi Verma's rare pencil sketches are additionally displayed at the gallery.
