Why to visit Poovar Island
Poovar Island, also known as a fishing town, is located between the Arabian Sea and the Neyyar River. A must-do activity is to hire a boat to transport you through the mangrove forest of the backwaters (particularly around sunset). The boat journey would set you back between INR 3000-INR 4000. The town is home to some of the most attractive resorts and hotels in the area, all of which are well-known for their hospitality.
