Why to visit Kuthiramalika Palace

The  outstanding monument that provides a fascinating glimpse into Kerala's illustrious past. The term 'Kuthira Malika' means 'Mansion of Horses,' and it was given to the spectacular structure because of the 122 horses that ornament the many pillars that support the southern roof. The principal goal of this palace was to preserve and promote India's diverse indigenous art forms, particularly in the south.

You will be fascinated by the magical beauty of this enormous palace if you take a patient tour through it with one of the local guides. The iconic Kuthira Malika Museum is also located on the grounds of this palace and is a paradise for history fans and people who admire the beauty of prehistoric antiques. The museum exhibits relics such as queens' ethnic jewels, woodwork paintings and sculptures, armoury, and idols made of the purest metals.

Special Tip

There is a fascinating annual music fest, Swathi Sangeethotsavam,try to attend this mesmerizing event. The admission charge to this palace is INR 10 for adults and INR 3 for children. For international nationals, the fee is INR 20, and for photos, it is INR 15. Also, on Mondays, this place is closed!
