Why to visit Gorichen Peak.

At  6858 metres, it is the highest point in Arunachal Pradesh. The mountain is around 164 kilometres from the district headquarters in the Tawang District. Experienced climbers can climb Gorichen Peak or Sa-Nga Phu, although amateurs and beginners can trek in the area surrounding the peak.

It is one of Tawang's most popular tourist attractions, and the Monpa people who live there believe that the peak protects them from all misfortunes. While travelling from Bomdila to Tawang, most tourists catch a sight of Gorichen Peak.

According to the native Monpa tribe, the peak is known as Sa-Nga Phu, which translates to "Kingdom of Deity." It is one of the sacred peaks that protects them from all misfortunes. This summit is ideal for hiking and mountain climbing.Trekking and camping are the best activities to do here.
