Why to visit Kalibari Temple

The Kalibari Temple (also known as Kalibari Mandir) is a sacred place of worship dedicated to Goddess Kali, a Hindu deity. A community of Bengali families built the temple, which has a structure that mirrors that of old Orissa temples.

One must take advantage of the opportunity to see the stunning black statue of Goddess Kali, which is clearly displayed in the temple's centre. This statue is generally decked out in vibrant colours and fragrant flower garlands.

The Kalibari Temple was founded and opened to the public in 1996, after being chosen by Bengali families to celebrate the annual Sri Sri Saraswati Pooja. On May 17, 2002, a handcrafted statue of Goddess Kali was installed in the temple. As a result, the 17th of May is designated as the temple's founding date.
