Why to visit Marmala Waterfalls
Marmala Waterfall is a beautiful waterfall located near Teekoy in Kerala's Kottayam district. It is one of Kerala's most magnificent waterfalls, and one of the must-see attractions in Vagamon packages.
Marmala Waterfall is formed over the Meenachal River and is located within a private rubber farm. The waterfall is approximately 60 metres (200 feet) tall and falls into a 12-meter-deep basin. Because the depth and intensity of the water are too great to bear, the waterfall is not suggested for bathing.
The waterfall, hidden among dense shrubs and blue hills, is the ideal place to get away from the rush and bustle of the city and spend some time alone to refresh and rejuvenate. Furthermore, the captivating natural environment provides several opportunity for photographers to capture those picture-perfect moments on their cameras. The waterfalls also provide chances for hiking.
The Marmala waterfall is a little out of the way from Teekoy, the nearest well-known attraction in the area. Tourists can travel by private vehicle almost to the rubber farm, but they must trek at least 2 kilometres to reach the waterfalls. The walking path, unlike a well-known tourist location, is not well-maintained, and the road is slick and full of rocky hazards.
