Why to visit Asian Civilization Museum
The ACM shines the spotlight on the historical connections between the cultures of Asia, and between Asia and the world. The Asian Civilisations Museum is one of Singapore's four major museums (the others being the National Museum of Singapore, Singapore Art Museum, and Peranakan Museum), all of which are of national and international significance. Relics from all over the world may be found in the museum, particularly from the civilisations of China, Southeast Asia, South Asia, and West Asia, as these ethnic groups have changed Singapore into Asia's cultural melting pot.
The Asian Civilisations Museum in Singapore is regarded as one of Asia's best museums, including artefacts and relics reflecting Asian cultures and civilisations. Over 2000 items are scattered throughout seven galleries on three levels, covering a gigantic 14,000 square metre space.
Apart from learning about the history of Asian civilizations, visitors can also relax with a cup of coffee at the Prive ACM, dine at the Empress, a traditional Chinese restaurant on the site, or take home a unique item from the museum gift store.
