Why to visit River Safari Singapore

River Safari, part of the Wildlife Reserves Singapore, is Asia's first river-themed zoo and aquarium. It holds roughly 6,000 creatures from over 300 species, 40 of which are vulnerable species, spread across the reserve's ten distinct riverine ecosystems. The River Safari on Singapore houses the world's largest freshwater aquarium. Visitors can either walk around the River Safari or take a River Safari cruise. The major goal of the Singapore River Safari is to raise awareness of the biodiversity that exists in these environments and to contribute to worldwide conservation efforts. With this in mind, the reserve hosts a variety of engaging activities such as enrichment programmes, multidisciplinary trails, and workshops.

In 2014, the River Safari was formally opened to the public. The world's largest amphibian, the gigantic Chinese salamander, and the giant Mekong catfish, an endangered aquatic mammal, are among the unusual wildlife on display at Singapore River Safari. This huge environment also has Southeast Asia's largest Panda exhibit, with the main draw being a pair of Giant Pandas, a species with a global population of 1,600 and one of China's national treasures.
