The Old Palace, also known as Gagan Palace, is currently in ruins and is surrounded by a fort. It is located in Anegondi and used to be the residence of the emperors of the Vijayanagara Empire. In Hampi, the structure now functions as the municipal administration building. This lovely structure, like most others in Hampi, was built in the 16th century
