Why to visit Elephant Stable

The Elephant Stables operated as a royal elephant enclosure under the Vijayanagara Empire, and they are one of the last remaining unruined monuments in Hampi following the Mughal siege. Eleven domed rooms are visible here, one of which is exceptionally ornate and used as a protective enclosure for the musicians during concerts. The entire structure was built in the 15th century to keep the royal elephants of the Vijayanagara Empire
