Why to visit Daroji Bear Sanctuary

This sanctuary, which was established in 1994, was transformed from a thorny forest to a beautiful green region that is now home to Sloth Bears. The Daroji Bear Sanctuary is the only spot in the world where you may watch sloth bears in captivity. The Sanctuary is also home to jackals and leopards, in addition to bears. The sanctuary, which is located near Bellary in the Sandur Taluk, covers an area of 80 square kilometres and is vital to the conservation of these bears. There are about 120 sloth bears here, as well as a variety of other fauna such as jackals, leopards, and wild boars.
