Why to visit Mahanavami Dibba
The Mahanavami Dibba, like most other structures in Hampi, was constructed under the Vijayanagara Empire to commemorate the empire's victory over Udayagiri. The king of the Vijayanagara empire used to celebrate the Dussehra celebration on this stone platform. The Vijayanagara rulers ruled their kingdom from this structure, which acted as a focal point. This massive monument depicts various facets of courtly life, including a gem-studded throne. The site has been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in order to ensure that it receives the attention it requires.
