Why to visit Krem Mawmluh
Krem Mawmluh is regarded as the fourth-longest cave in the Indian subcontinent, with a total length of cave passageways of more than 7 km. The cave is definitely for adventure lovers and is located at an elevation of 4,503 metres. Ten feet above sea level is where the entrance to this cave is situated. The stalagmite structures and other rock formations seen inside Mawmluh Cave are well-known. Additionally, there is a pool inside the cave that was created when five different rivers found their way there.
The journey across the mountain and numerous rocky ledges to the entrance takes about 30 minutes. One had to squeeze through the extremely small opening to go inside. Within the cave, there are streams that flow, and during monsoon season, parts of the cave are totally covered beneath water.
The cave is too deep to fit everything within, including passages, different kinds of calcite formations, enormous caverns, waist-deep pools, a few metres of belly crawling, and a few climbs. Additionally, just one-fourth of the cave receives sunlight, leaving the other two-thirds completely in the dark. Both routes take about 3 to 4 hours to complete.
