Why to visit Bannerghatta National Park
An enormous variety of plants and animals can be found in the Bannerghatta National Park. This national park, which spans a sizable area of 104.27 sq. km, was created in 1971. The park itself is home to a number of establishments, including the first butterfly park in the nation.
Fauna:
There are currently 1941 exotic and native animals of 94 species living in the zoo's 12 Ha area, including panthers, tigers, leopards, hog deer, elephants, bonnet macaques, bears, spotted deer, etc. A total of eight new enclosures and 28 Ha will be installed as part of the ongoing expansion process.
Flora:
The park's terrain is also adorned with a variety of flora and trees, such as tamarind, neem, sandalwood, bamboo, and eucalyptus.
Things to do:
Elephant Sanctuary: Explore the Elephant Sanctuary, where enormous elephants can be played with and interacted with.
Zoo: The park also features a zoo with exhibits of numerous wildlife species. It also has a little theatre and a separate reptile park.
Butterfly Park: The butterfly park, which spans 7.5 acres, also has a museum, an audio-visual area, and an observatory. Nearly 20 distinct species of butterflies can be found here.
Champaka Dhama Swamy Temple: A shrine to Lord Narasimha/Vishnu is located inside the temple. It is constructed in the Dravidian architectural style.
Jungle Safari: A jungle safari is one of the most popular tourist activities in this area. Many wild creatures can be viewed in their native habitat. The 16-kilometer jungle adventure can be completed in a Jeep, an AC or non-AC vehicle.
