Why to visit Boating in Shilloi Lake

Shilloi Lake, a magnificent foot-shaped lake in Nagaland's Patkai range, is a highly attractive site with green valleys encircling it on all sides. The people of Latsum village hold the lake in high regard since it is said that the spirit of a holy child sleeps at its bottom.
The area is recognised for its fishing locations, which are abundant in natural resources. You must, however, pay a modest fee of Rs 100. Between June and September is the greatest time to go fishing. The lake is the best spot in the state for birding because it is a sanctuary for migratory species like Siberian Cranes. Rowing boats can also be a fun way to spend time.
The lake is 271 kilometres away from Kohima and 108 kilometres away from Meluri town.
