Why to visit Pallipuram Fort

Pallippuram Fort is situated in Pallippuram, on the northernmost tip of Vypin Island, in the Ernakulam district of Kerala, India. The magnificent fort was erected by the Portuguese in 1503, and it now stands majestically as India's oldest surviving European structure. Inside the fort, there is an open space that provides safe access to the cellar. According to folklore, this cellar is a tunnel that goes to Kodungallur's Cheraman Masjid.

Special Tip

Must go to Cheraman Majid nearby
