Why to visit Jew Town

One of the oldest parts of the region is Jew Town. In roughly 700 BC, the Jews initially arrived in India and stayed here until they relocated to Israel. This area is known for its architecturally sound synagogue, which still stands today. Between Mattancherry Palace and Paradesi Synagogue, there are a number of tiny lanes. There is an antique market, as well as stores offering oddities
