Why to visit Kapaleeshwarar Temple

According to legend, the temple was built between the seventh and sixteenth centuries. This location is noted for its spirituality, history, and architectural styles. The temple was constructed to honour Lord Shiva and other gods. The rich Tamil religious culture is reflected in the Kapaleeshwarar temple. Sculptures depicting Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvathi may be found on the site. The temple also houses shrines to Tamil Shaivite saint poets known as Nayaars. These sanctuaries are distinguished by their high domes, known as Gopurams. During the Brahmotsavam festival, which runs from March through April, Kapaleeshwarar honours religious feelings. Devotees go to this temple to witness the spiritual splendour and participate in Pooja rites.

Special Tip

Avoid wearing leather when visiting temples; Hindu references follow this rule.
