The Trishul peak is made up of the three Himalayan mountain summits in western Kumaun. The Trishul group, at 7120m, is the southwest corner of the ring of peaks that surround Nanda Devi Sanctuary. The main peak, Trisul I, was the first summit over 7,000 metres to be climbed by someone in 1907. The greatest places to see the peak are Kausani and the Roopkund Trek
