Why to visit Auli Ropeway

The Auli Ropeway, also known as the "Gandola" locally, is a popular things to di in Auli offering magnificent and majestic views of the enormous Himalayan peaks  which connects Joshimath and Auli. I

The ropeway spans a distance of around 4 kilometres at a height of 3010 metres above sea level. You should be aware that there are no seats in this cable car, so you must take in the panorama while standing. It operates two cable cars across ten towers and has a large capacity.

You can also experience the Auli Chair Lift after you are in Auli. It is not on a set schedule, unlike the Auli Ropeway, and is close to GMVN Auli. Instead, it continues to run continuously during its operational hours. 

The chair lift also has remote braking and storm warning systems installed.The views you will see while you are on a chair lift will seem unreal. It leads you to Auli's ski slopes, which are close to Auli Lake. Skiers use it as a result to access the higher slopes and enjoy Auli skiing.

To complete the journey, taxis and buses are available from the airport. By Train: Rishikesh train station is around 250 kilometres from Joshimath. You can take a bus or taxi from outside the railway station to Joshimath, which would take approximately 7 hours. By Road - Because Joshimath is a renowned tourist destination, it is well connected by road to other parts of Uttarakhand. You may take a scenic drive from surrounding states like Himachal Pradesh, Haryana, or even Delhi.
