Why to visit Katarmal Sun Temple
The Sun Temple in Katarmal village, Uttarakhand, is regarded India's second most beautiful shrine dedicated to Surya, with a height of 2,116 metres above sea level. This temple complex, located 19 kilometres from Almora, attracts hundreds of tourists and pilgrims each year. Vraddhaditya, the Surya deity, is honoured in the main temple. As it gets the first rays of the sun at dawn, its temple is illuminated. Because of its location in the Kumaon hills, it is a popular tourist destination.

Prefer wearing sport shoes since you may have to climb to the hilltop.
