Kasar Devi is a well-known hilltop temple devoted to the Kasar Devi local deity, located 8 kilometres from Almora, Uttarakhand. This location, which is adjacent to Crank's Ridge, rose to prominence following the hippie movement of the 1960s and 1970s. It has hosted many celebrities, including Bob Dylan, Timothy Leary, Allen Ginsberg, Cat Stevens, and Swami Vivekananda. They meditated in the peace and tranquilly of this lovely spot in the Kumaon Hills.
Every year in winter, on the occasion of Kartik Poornima, a large fair is held at the Kasar Devi Temple
