Tirupati, is located in the southeastern part of Andhra Pradesh, in Chittoor district. Known as the abode of the ‘Kaliyuga’ deity Lord Venkateswara popularly known as Balaji, Tirupati is famous for the Venkateswara temple in the sacred Tirumala hills. One of the most important pilgrimage centers in India, the temple draws millions of pilgrims and is believed to be the most visited pilgrimage centre in the world. The holy city of Tirupati draws tourists and religious pilgrims alike, who flock to the Ancient Lord Venkateswara Temple, known for its elabourate Dravidian style and gold-plated cupola. Prayers are offered daily at this popular temple, which sits high in the Tirumala hills. Several other temples dot the town, and the lush countryside contains numerous waterfalls. Tirupati is also home to a rare, naturally-occurring pre-Jurassic stone arch that is 25 feet long and 10 feet high, one of only three of these geological features in the world. Tirupati is the most sacred shrine of Hindus. People believe every wish would come true is you pay your visit on this scared land. 

HISTORY 

According to the legends, it is believed that that the Lord manifested on the earth to bless the devotees during the age of Kali. Once, Sage Brighu wanted to evaluate who amongst the Holy Trinity was the greatest. When he checked with Lord Brahma and Lord Shiva, he was not satisfied, so he went to Vaikuntha and kicked Lord Vishnu on his chest. Goddess Lakshmi was residing in the chest of Lord Vishnu, she felt insulted and left Vaikuntha and came down to the Earth. Lord Vishnu follower her on earth and found out she got reincarnated as Padmavathi. Vishnu ji with rigorous worship reincarnated as Venkateshwar and asked king to let him marry Padmavathi. Kuber king gave a huge amount of kuber for the celebrations. 

BRAHMOTSAV FESTIVAL

There are a number of festivals that are held at Tirpupati in Andhra Pradesh. The most well known festivals are Brahmotsavam, which is the most ostentatious festival of Lord Venkateswara , that is held in the month of Asweeja( September-October). Everyday during the festival, the deity is taken out in colorful processions flanked by his consorts. The Brahmotsavam continues for 10 days and is one of the most significant festivals of the Tirupati temple.

• SHRI VENKATESHWAR TEMPLE: Shree Venkateshwar swamy temple is a revered Hindu shrine. Richest pilgrimage center in the world it witnesses the most amount of donations across nation and worldwide. It is also the most visited pilgrimage site in the world. Around 50,000 to 1,00,000 devotees daily visit this sacred temple. It is believed that Lord venkatesh wars is an incarnation off Lord vishnu. It is believed he saved mankind from the trials of Kali Yuga.
• SHRI GOVINDRAJA SWAMY TEMPLE: Built in 1130 AD by St ramanuj is the biggest temple Tirupati. Devoted to wealthiest god.l It is believed deity gave huge amount of kuber for the marriage of Venkateshwar and Padmavath Ammavarai. It is built in Dravidian architectural style which is a 7 storey building. 
• SRI PADMAVATHI AMMAVARI TEMPLE: It is devoted and considered to be an abode of goddess padmavati. Wife of Lord venkatesh this temple is visited before visiting to Lord venkateshwara temple. Many married couples as well go and take blessings of the goddess.
• SRIVARI PADALA MANDAPAM TIRUPATI: This temple is nested on tirumala Hills. It is considered Toby I must visit place for devotees. Lord venkateshwar feet art nested in this temple.
• SRI KAPLISWARASWAMY TEMPLE: Sri Kapliswaraswamy Temple is the only Shiva temple in Tirupati and one of the 108 sacred Theerthams on the hills of Tirumala. Legends reveal that Kapila Muni meditated in front of an idol of Lord Shiva at this site, and that’s how the place got its name. The Shiva lingam at this temple is considered as self-manifested. The waterfall near the temple is also considered sacred, and devotees believe that a dip in its waters can help you get rid of all the sins.
•  SRI VENKATESHWARA NATIONAL PARK: This national park was named after lord venkateshwar in 1988 and officially declared National park in 1998. It has serene wateralls, abundant greenery and verdant valleys and surreal landscape. There are hynes, lizards, wolves, golden gecko and several other animals for sightseeing. 
• SRIKALAHASTI TEMPLE: Dedicated to lord Shiva, it is one of the sacred temples in Tirupati. This ancient shrine is famous for being one of the Pancha Bhoota Sthalams, where His Divine is worshipped as a personification of five nature elements; Air in this case. It has a lamp which flickers day and night without any air devoting to vayu bhagwan. 
•  TALAKONA WATERFALL: This is the biggest waterfall in country. It is a breathtaking landscape covered with several herbs and plants it is considered to be therapeutic water. People believe it has healing potential as water it crosses medical plants and herbs. The surrounding area is a dense forest with rich flora and fauna and was declared a biosphere reserve in 1989.
• NATIONAL DEER PARK: A paradise for Not nature lovers this Deer Park is I must visit. Several deer species are found here and you can feed then with your hands. It is a perfect getaway and hone your photographic skills and have some peaceful time.
• AKASAGANGA THEERTHAM: Akasaganga Theertham is situated at a short distance away from Sri Venkateswara Swamy Temple. Every pilgrim who pays a visit to the revered temple comes to take a dip in the holy water of this fall as it is used for Lord’s abhishekam. The captivating views at this site are sure to attract every nature lover!
• TTD GARDENS: It is a mesmerizing garden which also provides 500 kg of the flowers to temple daily. Allies filled with flowers and sprawling greenery makes it a must visit place.
