Why to visit Dolphins Nose
The hill's name comes from its unusual shape, which resembles a dolphin's nose. It is also known as Yarada Konda and is one of the city's most popular tourist attractions. Near the hills is a fishing village with the same name, which makes for an intriguing exploration. The lighthouse on Dolphin's Nose was built in the mid 1960s and provides spectacular views of the sea. It may be seen from 64 kilometres out at sea. Dolphin Hill is part of the Indian Naval Base, and while there are a few restricted sections on the hill, tourists can visit the most of the scenic spots.
