So don’t forget to wear shoes and dress in a comfortable outfit to be hassle-free. And if you are a trekker then this place will not let your adrenaline rush down.
Do indulge in coffee plantation exploring and tasting. This is a must activity in Chikmagalur as it has maximum cultivation of coffee in Karnataka. Even aroma of city is covered with Coffee smell. Visit coffee museum as well to get more information about coffees.
Neelakurinji flowers bloom once in 13 years. If you are abundantly lucky then you can witness these purple flowers covering hills. It looks like a purple bedsheet has been covered all over hills. It’s breathtaking.
If you are a sport enthusiast and just don’t want to kill your adrenaline rush. Then rafting in Bhadra river is a must try activity. It is only available from June to September as water level is high.
Hire a cab to go to nearby tourist places in city. Chikmagalur is spread widely and to reach at some distant tourists attractions you would need a cab.
There are few government and local buses that operate on daily basis. You can take a bus to go to near villages inside district.
Easiest and economical mode of transport in any city is auto and rickshaw. Available at every footstep you don’t have to bother much to book prior.
Chikmagalur can’t be explored without treading and trekking. Some splendid attractions are only reachable by trekking.
