Why to visit Sita Gumpha Or Sita Gufa

It is a significant site in the Ramayana, an epic tale that is central to Hinduism's storY. The cave is now a famous destination for pilgrims who come to Panchavati to learn more about the Ramayana narrative. You can access the cave through the narrow staircase that leads into it, which is located near the five sacred banyan trees in the region. Inside, there is an idol of Sita, as well as Rama and his brother, Lakshman. A Shiva Linga can be found in a cave to the left.

In the Ramayana, it approximately translates to the Cave of Sita, Rama's spouse and presumed successor to the throne of Ayodhya. Rama is sentenced to a 14-year exile in the forests, spending the majority of his time in Panchavati, now Maharashtra's Nashik. The Cave of Sita is located here, and it is said that Ravana, Lanka's evil king, kidnapped Sita there.
