Due to the romantic atmosphere created by the clear blue waters and lush surroundings, the attraction is sometimes referred to as Mount Abu's Love Lake. Additionally, the mighty Garacia Tribe is supposed to regard it as their sacred lake. The beauty of Nakki Lake is enhanced by the adjacent natural treasures that are seen from there. On a nearby hill is the well-known Toad Rock, which resembles a toad poised to leap into the lake. There is a trail that leads to Sunset Point along Nakki Lake.
Nakki Lake, the first artificial lake in India, is the subject of numerous stories. According to the original mythology, the lake was erected by the Gods as defence against their foe, the Bashkali monster. The second legend is based on the sage Rakshiya Balam's romance. A king once gave the edict that whomever excavated a lake with his nails over the course of the night would wed his daughter. Rakshiya Balam finished the job and used his nails to dig the lake since he liked the king's daughter. Nakh, which meaning nails, is the origin of the name Nakki Lake. Rakshiya Balam and his sweetheart were supposedly Lord Shiva and Parvati in human form. But because of his betrayal, the sage was forbidden from marrying his lover.
