Why to visit Sundarban National Park
The Sundarbans National Park, the world's largest mangrove belt and largest delta, and the legendary Royal Bengal Tigers' home, was designated a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1987. The Sundarbans National Park is the most well-known tiger zone in the world since it is home to the biggest population of Bengal tigers.

- The Sundarbans National Park is home to several bird, reptile, and saltwater crocodile species in addition to the Royal Bengal Tigers.
- The national park is well known for the Monitor Lizard, Estuarine Crocodile, and Olive Ridley Turtle in addition to being the largest tiger reserve.
- The Indian Park runs an Olive Ridley Turtle conservation program. Other mammalian species including the leopard, Javan rhinoceros, Indian rhinoceros, swamp deer, and others can be found in the forest.

Activities to do in Sundarban National Park:
- Boat Safaris: The boat safaris run by the government come in large and small sizes, with the former being suitable for longer and the latter for shorter trips.
- Timings: The duration is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM. After 6:00 PM, boats are not allowed within.
- Cruise Tour: You can visit Sudhanyakhali, Sajnekhali, Jhingakhali, and Dobanki watchtowers on the two-night cruise offered by the West Bengali government.
- Timings: A 2N/3D tour will begin in Kolkata at 8:00 AM on Day 1 and conclude there at 5:00 PM on Day 3.
- Reserving and Cost: On the West Bengal Tourism website, you can make online reservations. The price varies according to the ship's section you reserve.
- Private Cruises Tour: Private cruise cruises are also offered; they range from 2 night/3 day economical tours to 6 night/7 day opulent vacations. The price varies depending on the amenities.
- Timings: Every cruise tour typically begins at 8:00 am and ends between 5:00 and 5:00:30 pm.
- Cost: The cost ranges from INR 2,000 per person to INR 50,000 per person.
- Private Boat Tour: If you only have a day to spend exploring the river, you can also rent a boat from a privately managed company.
- Timings: It begins at eight in the morning and ends between five and five thirty in the evening.
- Cost: Overnight stays are an additional INR 600 per person, with all meals starting at INR 950 per person.
