Why to visit Lakshmana Temple
A statue of Vaikuntha-Vishnu is located in this temple, which is devoted to the Hindu deity Vishnu. The temple's outside wall features pictures of more than 600 gods in addition to its stunning design.
The massive 25.9 m long Lakshmana Temple is built on the foundation of the lowest platform, known as Adhishthana. Mandapa, antrala, maha-mandapa, garbha graha, and entrance porch make up its structural elements.
The Vaikuntha, a figure of Lord Vishnu with three heads that is located in the inner chamber (Garba griha), is the first thing you will see. This temple is regarded as the centre of all Hindu temples, regardless of their size or location.
It is believed that the womb chamber of the temple contains the shrine's central portion. This section of the temple is specifically made for private, one-on-one worship of the holy force and is constructed in a radically different way, with a gloomy interior chamber and no windows.
The Lakshmana Temple's architectural design is in the Nagara style. Viewers can best appreciate the shrine in this temple's base-superstructure, known as the sikhara, from a distance.
