Why to visit Dulhadev Temple
It is an east-facing nirandhara temple. Beautiful carvings of Lord Shiva and his wife, Goddess Parvati, can be found throughout the temple. Inside the temple, a Shiva Linga is placed. The ceilings of the temples are decorated with apsara sculptures.
An intriguing aspect of the temple is the Shivalinga, which has 999 lingas etched on its holy surface. It is said that performing a pradakshina (circumambulation) around the Shivalinga is equivalent to performing 1000 circumambulations.
Other Gods and Goddesses with idols in the temple include Lord Ganesha, Goddess Parvati, and Goddess Ganga. The temple features a closed hall and five tiny chambers. The temple's main hall is enormous and octagonal.
The temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva, is also called "Kunwar Math." Chandela King is credited with constructing the shrine in the eleventh century. The name here is Dulhadeo because Lord Shiva is depicted as a bridegroom.
