Chorabari Tal is a small lake with exceptionally clean water. Gandhi Sarovar is located at 3,900 metres above sea level, at the foot of the Kedarnath and Kirthi Stambh peaks. It provides breathtaking views of the Himalayan peaks in the distance. The lake's original name is Kanti Sarovar. Some of Mahatma Gandhi's ashes were immersed here in 1948, and the area was called Gandhi Sarovar.
