Why to visit Bosphorus Bridge

This is one of the most prominent sites in Istanbul, which straddles Europe and Asia and is regarded as a masterpiece of architecture. Photographers flock to this spot because it offers a classic vista of the city's broader area. Previously, you could walk along the bridge, but today it is completely closed to pedestrians, and only vehicles are permitted to cross. The bridge is lit up with LED lights at night, making it an Instagram-worthy sight for visitors.

Other notable facts about the bridge include:

• This bridge has become a symbol of the country.

• Walking across the bridge is strictly prohibited.

• There is a toll bridge here that accepts neither cash nor credit cards.

• Toll taxes can only be paid with a toll transponder. As a result, make certain that the vehicle you board has one.

• The bridge now sees roughly 180,000 vehicles every day.

• When the bridge is fully laden, it sags for roughly 90 cm directly in the centre.

• Tiger Woods' ball from the Asian side landed on the bridge in 2013. It landed on the European side of the continent.

• Today, the bridge costs roughly $300 million.

Special Tip

At night, when the bridge is illuminated by LED lights, it is the greatest time to visit. It is the most photogenic attraction in Istanbul. Take a night sail across the Bosphorus Bridge and take in the stunning sight of the illuminated bridge.
