Address : Çukurcuma, Firuzağa, Beyoğlu/İstanbul, Turkey

Why to visit Çukurcuma

From late-19th-century Baroque furniture and floral-painted ceramics to paintings, vintage apparel, fabrics, and ancient books, a peek about here reveals a treasure trove of artefacts. Quirky ornamental glassware, candlesticks, and tea sets from the late Ottoman era are among the easier-to-carry-home artefacts.

The antique and vintage shops of this hillside neighbourhood, just east of Istiklal Caddesi, are worth a visit whether you're a dedicated collector or just love rummaging. If you prefer a more retro design, there are other shops specialising in domestic and decorative objects from the first half of the twentieth century.

Special Tip

If you're still in Çukurcuma at night, this restaurant is the finest location to end another fantastic day in Istanbul. ukurcuma 49 is well-known for its delicious pizza, which pairs nicely with their house wines.
