Why to visit Zakir Hussain Rose Garden
Zakir Hussain's Rose Garden is Asia's largest rose garden, covering 30 acres of land. It boasts about 1600 different rose kinds and gorgeous flower beds and lawns. It's also a great photo opportunity, with colourful flowers filling the background. During the month of February, the Chandigarh Tourism Department holds an annual Rose Festival at the Rose Garden, which features large floral arrangements and cultural events. During the event, the garden is elegantly decked, and you can wear hats fashioned from actual flowers. Rose Garden is also a great place for families to picnic. One of its parts includes swings for children as well as a small refreshment station where you can purchase ice creams , colas , candies and more.
