Why to visit Mehtab Bagh

The Charbagh, also known as Mehtab Bagh, was erected by the strong ruler Babur long before the Taj Mahal was built. This must-see sight in Agra is located north of the Taj Mahal complex and offers a beautiful perspective of the Taj Mahal. Visitors typically visit to Mehtab Bagh to get away from the city's usual tourist crowds. The garden provides them with that solitude, as well as much more. The park was reconstructed to shield the Taj from the erosive effects of sand blown across the river, and it is today one of the best spots to view the huge mausoleum.

Special Tip

You are not allowed to throw garbage in the park.
