Why to visit Pianostrada

Pianostrada's all-female crew just relocated from their small Trastevere facility to this new, larger location over the river, equipped with a lovely indoor garden and large open kitchen. Freshly baked bread and foccacia are used to make great panini (including the iconic salt cod burger served in a squid-ink bun), and there are also innovative salads, pastas, and secondi, as well as homemade sweets and cakes.

The cuisine is based on simple meals that bring together carefully selected good raw components in a balanced manner. All of this is accompanied by an extensive wine list. The usual dishes, served in a pleasant, welcoming, and soothing ambiance, are: a Beef fillet tartare with Meaux mustard, crunchy Pantelleria capers, and dehydrated Taggiasca olives; and, to finish, an assortment pastry prepared right there, in an open space.

It's a culinary class where you can eat supper at the bar, at a reserved table in an informal but sophisticated environment, or in the garden.

Special Tip

I recommend trying a simple focaccia elevated to wonderful heights with the finest parma ham, the freshest figs, and the most delectable honey. To make it ideal, add a little of salt. From there, things only got better. The smoked tomato sauce deserves special mention.
