Why to visit Jonha Falls

The Jonha Falls has amazing surroundings to observe as it plunges from a height of 43 metres (141 feet). Now, it's a well-liked picnic location for locals as well as tourists. Due to the lack of a large force pool beneath the waterfall, these are the safest falls in Ranchi.

The falls are known as "Gautam Dhara" after the Buddha Gautama. Because King Baldevdas Birla constructed two exquisite Buddha Temples close to the falls, the area is awash in Buddhist culture.

Near the tourist rest house is a Buddhist shrine with a statue of Lord Gautama Buddha. At the peak of Gautama pahar, there is also a temple and a Buddha ashram. There is a fair that the residents organise every Tuesday and Saturday.
