Why to visit Kusum Sarovar

Kusum Sarovar is a beautiful reservoir in Vrindavan, Mathura, located between Govardhan and Radha Kund. It is surrounded by palatial sandstone buildings from a bygone era. A set of stairs in the reservoir can be utilised to descend into the pond. Swimming and dips are ideal in the water. Kusum Sarovar is also home to a number of temples and ashrams.

Kusum Sarovar, which is filled with emerald green water, dates back to the time of Radha and Krishna. The pond is surrounded on all sides by a forest of beli, chameli, juhi, yuthi, mallika, and campaka flowers. Krishna is said to have collected flowers and made garlands for Radha here. Pilgrims come from all over the country to see the majestic structures that surround the Sarovar, as well as the exquisite paintings representing Krishna's life and pastimes and the Grijraja temple.
