Why to visit Ski Diving in Sipadan Island

Sipadan has attracted attention as one of the best dive locations in the world. Divers have been drawn to it because of the variety of possible sightings. Fishes, aquatic creatures, and coral reefs abound in this diverse habitat. Despite the fact that Sipadan entices visitors, it is not easily accessible for tourists. You will only be able to see this fascinating world if you have a diving licence.

A diver's permit and a non-permit diver's are the two types of permits you'll need for your trip to Sipadan. Because there are only 120 divers each day allowed to dive in the waters of Sipadan, getting a diver's permit may be difficult. The other permit, on the other hand, may be available and will serve as a record of your visit to the island. The longer you plan to stay, the better your chances of obtaining a permit are.

Sipadan is only accessible by boat at the end of a voyage that includes air, land, and sea travel. Tawau airport (TWU), Sabah, Borneo, Malaysia, is the closest airport to Sipadan.

Special Tip

Sipadan no longer has any accommodations. Divers can choose to stay on one of the neighbouring islands or on the mainland of Semporna. Each permit is only active for one day. Permits must be obtained through dive resorts.
