Why to visit Satkhanda

The edifice was intended to be a seven-story watchtower until King Mohammed Ali Shah died unexpectedly, but only four floors were built due to his death. Greek architecture inspired the framework and pediments, while Islamic architecture affected the arches of the gates and windows. This structure's octagonal ground floor is nearly 10 feet tall, making it the tower's tallest storey. There are multiple triple-arched large windows and chambers throughout the tower. The grandeur of the city's surrounding surroundings may be seen from the uppermost floor of the facade. The architecture of this red-brick structure is influenced by the Leaning Tower of Pisa, making it one of Lucknow's most fascinating sights.

Special Tip

The festive seasons of Eid and Moharram are the best times to visit.
