According to the legend, Chandi is an incarnation of Durga with three heads, and the shrine has been around for 300 years. Specially during the Navratri holiday, Chandrika Devi temple attracts hundreds of worshipers to its shrine. According to local legend, the temple's origins date back to the Ramayana period. Mahi Sagar Teerth and Chandrika Devi Temple are both Hindu pilgrimage sites.In addition, the temple is bordered by the Gomti on three sides, which adds to its natural splendour.
