The Petersen Automotive Museum is a unique museum that features a variety of vehicles while also educating visitors about their significance and history. You can see several supercars, contemporary innovations, historical and  iconic automobiles that are used in movies. From vintage to the most futuristic car Petersen does have everything that you can possibly think of.

Architecture

  • It was founded by Robert E. Petersen on June 11, 1994
  • The Petersen is organized into three floors and first floor of the museum is known as the Artistry floor 
  • It is spread over area of more than 100.000 square feet
  • The iconic architectural firm Kohn Pedersen Fox redesigned The building in 2015
  • The building features a stainless-steel ribbon assembly made of 100 tons of 14-gauge type 304 steel in 308 sections, 25 supports and 140,000 custom stainless-steel screws
  • A massive amount of $125 million was spent on the refurbishment of the museum.
