    Why to visit this place

The Museum houses numerous antique artifacts belonging to the Garhwal Rifles.

The Regimental Museum is a historical defence museum named for Darwan Singh Negi, a notable Victoria Cross recipient. The Garhwal Regiment Museum was established in 1983 to conserve the items used by the Garhwal Regiment. During the First World War, Darwan Singh served as a Naik in the British Indian Army's 1st Battalion, 39th Garhwal Rifles. He battled fearlessly and wowed everyone with his performance, earning him the Victoria Cross.

Battle scenes from the pre-independence and post-independence periods, portraits of brave soldiers, achievements, customs, and traditions, rich certificates and documents from World Wars I and II, war trophies, antiques, old dresses, medals, and appreciations are on display in this beautiful two-story building. Outside the museum, visitors can enjoy the gorgeous floral garden.
