Why to visit Dhakpo Shedrupling Monastery

Dhakpo Shedrupling Monastery is a Buddhist monastery in Himachal Pradesh where monks dwell. In 2005, the Dalai Lama officially opened the monastery. The monastery, commonly known as Kais monastery, is the jewel of Kais village. The building's exquisite design, set against a backdrop of sweeping mountains, makes it one of Kullu's most popular tourist destinations. To get to the monastery, you'll have to climb about 50 stairs. Leave your shoes at the door and step into a new world of calm and spirituality.

Special Tip

It is wise to dress modestly.
