Why to visit Malana

Malana, a small hamlet, famous for the temple of Jamlu Devta, has self-isolated themselves from the world. They fear that interacting with strangers would jeopardise their race's purity. Without their permission, a tourist cannot touch them or their things. If a tourist touches their walls, they will wash them with buffalo blood. They consider themselves to be Alexander the Great's descendants, and the settlement is commonly referred to as the "Little Greece of India."

Special Tip

Hike along Parvati River, go for Kheerganga trek, enjoy a cup of coffee over a games at Muzik Café.
